Retelling the Stories from the Past
is a collaborative art project involving a group of old friends born in the Sham Shui Po neighborhood (Hong Kong), students from a nearby school, and the artist himself. The project is a way to reunite, in spirit, the old community which has now scattered to different places, making a reunion of all its members practically impossible. Two available members of the local music band ‘Snow’ play songs from their time, while students substitute for other members of the band, creating a link between the old and new generations. This activity is recorded and recreated in the form of an art book and animation with sound.
